If you pull your carpet back, there may be signs of mold or the smell of mildew. If the leak is below your garage, you can see a wet, damp area on your garage floor. On linoleum floors, you’ll see the linoleum bubbling up. Finally, you’ll detect a warm spot on the floor if the leak comes from a hot water line.

In some cases, depending on the size of the leak, you can hear it. For example, you’ll hear a hissing sound or the sound of running water. Additionally, low water pressure can also be a sign.
